Keeping payment processing separate. GlossGenius combines scheduling and payment processing within one platform. That integration is convenient, but some business owners prefer to choose their own payment provider and manage appointment records independently of their merchant account.
Choosing which services to use. GlossGenius includes online booking, automated client communications, marketing, and payment tools. If you do not need those services, you may prefer an appointment management app focused on the features you use every day.
Subscription costs as your business grows. GlossGenius offers different subscription tiers. Before upgrading, consider whether the additional features are necessary for your business and whether you will use them regularly.
Maintaining access to your business records. Regardless of which software you choose, understand how to export your client information, appointment history, and financial records before canceling a subscription or changing payment providers.

A dedicated Mac app. Book Visit Now runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with an interface designed for each device. On Mac, you can manage appointments, client records, reports, and business settings in a dedicated app rather than relying on a browser dashboard.
Apple Contacts integration. Book Visit Now lets you use your existing Apple Contacts when managing clients. Your Apple Contacts remain available independently of your Book Visit Now subscription, and your client records and appointment history remain accessible in the app on the free plan. Not every client record or appointment is stored in Apple Contacts.
Client records and scanned documents included. Book Visit Now includes client history, treatment notes, before-and-after photos, and the ability to scan completed paper intake forms directly into a customer's profile using your Apple device. You can keep these records together without purchasing a separate document-management subscription. Book Visit Now does not offer online intake forms that clients complete electronically.
One subscription, all included features. Book Visit Now includes appointment scheduling, multiple providers, client management, treatment records, service and product management, invoicing, business reporting, and appointment notifications without separate feature subscriptions.

No integrated payment processing. GlossGenius lets you accept card payments, securely store cards on file, collect deposits, and apply no-show charges. Book Visit Now does not process payments or manage stored payment cards. You will need a separate payment provider for those services.
No online self-booking. GlossGenius lets clients schedule appointments online. With Book Visit Now, you create and manage appointments yourself.
No automated appointment reminders. Book Visit Now includes an Appointment Notification Center for manually sending appointment notifications through Messages and email, but it does not automatically send reminders at scheduled intervals.

GlossGenius provides capabilities that Book Visit Now does not. If those services are essential to your daily operations, switching would require additional software or changes to how you manage your business.
Before canceling your GlossGenius subscription, obtain a copy of your client information, appointment history, and any financial records you need to retain.
If your clients are already saved in Apple Contacts, you can use those contacts when setting up Book Visit Now. Otherwise, obtain your client information from GlossGenius and import the relevant contact details into Apple Contacts.
Importing contacts does not automatically transfer your complete GlossGenius appointment history, treatment records, sales data, or other business information into Book Visit Now.
If you use GlossGenius for payment processing, arrange a separate payment provider before switching. Review any outstanding deposits, refunds, package balances, or other financial obligations that may need to be handled through your existing provider.
Tell your regular clients how to book with you going forward. Customers who previously used GlossGenius's online booking system will need to know that they should now contact you directly to schedule appointments.
Book Visit Now's Appointment Notification Center makes it easy to communicate with clients about upcoming appointments through Messages or email without purchasing an additional messaging subscription.
